Announcing our new classes:

Wednesday 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Sept 15th, 22nd & 29th
Teacher: Pat Baker Smith
Originating in Germany around the 17th Century, Scherenscnitte was an
economical form of decorating birth records, marriages, and special milestones in
their lives. Each piece is meticulously hand cut from paper, samples of this traditional art form can be scene in museums throughout the country.

Sept. 16th, 23rd & 30th
Teacher: Pat Baker Smith
Rosemaling is another traditional European art form
dating back to the 18th and 19th Centuries.
Traveling artists would create these treasures from farm house to
farm house, and paint in trade for room and board.
Today’s more modern forms are called “Tole painting.”
Which are normally done on tin ware.
$25.00 for 1 class & $15.00 material fee or save on all 3 classes $60.00
& $15.00 material fee.

Drawing Class:
Teacher: Caroline Denaro
Starting September 23rd Thursday’s 4-6pm
The first hour will be working on principles and concepts of drawing; the second
hour will be spent on a finished piece of their choosing. The cost of the group
session will be $10.00.

The Artist’s Lounge:
September 15th, 5-7pm.
The Wayne County Arts Alliance and the Philip Hone Gallery
would like to welcome all artists from the novice to the professional.
A gathering of artists sharing information and supporting the art community.
Each month, we will have a new “free” demonstration.
Come join us and bring your current work for discussion.
The artist lounge provides an opportunity for artists
to network and share their ideas.
Refreshments will be served.

The Drum Circle
September 24th, 6:30-8pm
Come join us for an enjoyable evening of music and community!
Our Drum Circle is lead by musician and artist; Thomas Deerheart.
Thomas's beautiful drums are pictured here.
This event is open to all!

We’ve had more than one artist sketching away
during our events and it is always
